Frequently Asked Questions

What are the benefits of Inquiry Arts’ facilitations & residencies?
Inquiry Arts facilitations harness performing arts processes to craft moving, joyful, multi-sensorial experiences that deepen people’s understandings of the perspectives and backstories underlying others’ actions and talking points, irrespective of agreement.
Residencies and facilitations enable participants to pursue deeper connections to their own stories and integration within their own lived experiences.
Residencies and facilitations broaden and strengthen long-lasting relationships between sponsoring organizations, like performing arts centers, and community constituencies, including traditional audiences as well as individuals and groups who have, historically, felt that the performing arts are irrelevant to them.
Where do residencies
take place?
Inquiry Arts residencies take place just about anywhere people gather, from academic campuses, communities of faith and performing arts centers to corporate and civic meeting spaces.

Who leads residencies?
Residencies stemming from a specific multidisciplinary performance are led by Inquiry Arts facilitators together with that production’s team. Outside experts are brought in as needed.
Stand-alone residencies (I.e. ones not oriented around a specific production) are led by Inquiry Arts facilitators. Outside experts are brought in as needed.
